This study aims to understand the challenges healthcare and social care workers in British Columbia face in accessing and using the Care to Speak mental health support service. By completing a survey and possibly participating in focus groups, you will help us identify ways to improve this support system to better meet the needs of healthcare workers.
Screening: Individuals complete a quantitative informed consent form and a screening questionnaire. Quantitative Survey: Eligible participants complete a confidential online survey assessing their mental health, experiences with Care to Speak, and factors influencing service use. Interest in Focus Groups: At the end of the survey, participants are asked if they are interested in participating in follow-up focus group interviews. Those who express interest provide their contact information and availability. Focus Group Interviews: Selected participants are invited to participate in 90-minute online focus group discussions, where they provide in-depth insights into barriers to Care to Speak.
