Reducing alcohol consumption through psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy

This phase 2 clinical trial evaluates the safety and efficacy of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy in adults with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) through analysis of alcohol consumption and symptom severity over the 8-week treatment period as compared to baseline.
The study consists of 13 visits across approximately 29 weeks in a total of 3 periods: Screening Period (up to 5 weeks), Treatment Period (8 weeks) with 2 administration sessions, and a Follow-Up Period (16 weeks). Participation will involve psychotherapy and administration of either psilocybin (25mg) or a placebo. Additionally, participation will involve medical assessment and administration of questionnaires. Remuneration includes $50 for every visit and $100 for each dosing visit.
